Look at your website on your laptop. Now look at it on your mobile device. Next, turn your mobile from portrait to horizontal.

Your website layout should adapt to the size of the screen, not just get smaller.

Nothing is missing and everything fits on my screen. I have to use my finger to zoom in or out, or move left and right to read everything. I have two versions of my website, one for laptops and one for mobile devices.

Still on your mobile, open the navigation menu on your website. Your navigation menu should be a dropdown.

Try it out: are all the items there? Are they legible AND clickable?

Yes, I can see all the menu items and click on them successfully. No, I can't read it and/or one or more of the links don't work.

The top of your website should have a navigation menu with tabs like Home, About, Contact, etc. How easy and clear is your navigation menu? My navigation menu has at least the Home, About, and Contact pages, and they have clear titles. I used different page names (e.g., "Experience", "The Scoop", or "But Wait, There's More!") My navigation menu is in a strange place (ie., it's not at the top where it's expected to be), or it's nonexistent. My navigation menu has more than one submenu (dropdowns), or it has so many dropdowns that it's hard to read.

On your homepage, do you have any videos or other animated content (including sound) that plays automatically?

This includes background video, sound clips, moving gifs, animated backgrounds, or other animations.

Yes, I have video(s), sound(s), or animated images that play automatically. Yes, I have video(s) but the user is in control of when to play them, and the player controls are visible. I have no video(s) or other moving features that auto-play.

Does your contact form work? Test it using your laptop, and then from your mobile device, for these two things: 1) Make sure all the fields fit on your screen, and 2) You can click submit successfully.

All fields and labels should be easy to read. And when you click on submit, you should see a "Success" or some other confirmation message.

Yes, I can submit the form from both my laptop and my mobile. No, some of the boxes on the form stretch past the page. No, I get an error and/or can't submit the form from either or both my laptop and my mobile.

BONUS: Assuming you were able to submit the contact form, did you receive both messages in your business email?

Careful, there are several layers to this question! Ideally you want both your test emails to be received to your business email inbox - not your personal email, not your spam folder, and not just to some unknown recipient.
